The Football League has now announced the Match Day officials that will take charge of the game between Blackburn Rovers and Lincoln City on Tuesday night.

Blackburn Rovers host Lincoln City on Tuesday 28 August for the game at Ewood Park and the match carries a 7.45pm kickoff.

Referee: Geoff Eltringham.
Assistants Refs: Nick Greenhalgh and James Mainwaring.
Fourth Official: Martin Coy.

Geoff Eltringham took in a total of 35 games during the 2017/18 season, showing a total of 129 yellow cards and 3 red cards.

Eltringham was most card happy in the game between Preston North End and Bristol City on Tuesday 6th March, when he showed a total of 9 yellow cards and 1 red card.

Match Day referee Eltringham took in 40 games in 2016/17, showing 112 yellows cards and five red cards.

  • He’s a shocking ref! His handling of a Rovers game last season was so inept that i wrote to the refs’ association to express my dismay at his performance. I don’t expect to get anything positive from this numpty?
