Re, ‘Who Are Milson, Uwezu and Saunders’,

Re accusations that we did not say that people would definitely be arriving in the article, ‘Who Are Milson, Uwezu and Saunders’, of 2.15pm. 29/12/2009.

The reason Vital didn’t put ‘definite’ after the two players was that we have an agreement with our sources at LCFC that we will not break the Echo,nor BBC Lincs, exclusive agreements. We stick to this rigidly and when we have facts, bury them in froth when it clashes with the agreement, as per this article 2 days before the Echo’s ‘exclusive’.

Although, on this occasion we could have because the information we received came from sources at Craven Cottage not LCFC,.

So, not 6 of 1 and half a dozen of the other. More our journo’s sticking by there principles!

It may make us look unsure, even daft at times but we, none the less, will continue to honour what we have said we will do.

The other interesting thing I find, is that an organ of the free press considers censorship OK if it serves there purpose, this alone should tell people who is antagonistic to whom.

We endeavour to bring you the news, wherever and whenever we can, we do not guarentee you won’t have to read between the lines to understand it.

Maybe we should use the old maxim, ‘publish and be damned’ but we think considering others is by far a higher principle.
