Championship strugglers Crewe Alexandra are poised to make a move for Imps full-back Lee Beevers.
The Welshman has been watched on numerous occasions by the Railwaymen and it is thought they will make a bid for the former Boston United man when the transfer window re-opens in January.
Crewe boss Dario Gradi has been searching for new defensive blood for some time now, and is also weighing up a move for an unnamed player in Cyprus.
‘We’ve got to make a decision on the Cypriot lad whether we buy him, because I don’t think we’ll get a look at him apart from going out to watch him,’ admitted Gradi.
City signed Beevers for £50,000 in a shock move in February, and it is thought the Imps will be looking for double that figure should Crewe come calling.
