And now for the answers provided by Josh:

How long have you supported Sunderland?

I’ve supported Sunderland ever since I was a kid. Through the ups and downs.. mainly downs. The overwhelming majority of my memories as a fan are from when we were an established premier league club, roll on a few years and we are where we are today.

Where did you finish last season?

Last season was a write off for me, and in fairness, an absolute farce. I believe our final league position was 8th albeit with many games to play with our side in great form. Covid put an end to the season which meant we succumbed to the worst finish in our history as a football club.

What do you think of your manager?

Lee Johnson is an honest man and a true footballing man. He’s only been here a short time but the atmosphere around the club has certainly improved since his arrival and some performances have been outstanding. If anyone can achieve something with us in this league, it’s this man.

What are your hopes and expectations for the 2020/21 season?

Promotion is, of course, everyone’s hope in this league but given our start to the season and lack of consistency, I expect a play-off finish at most. Everyone knows that they are a massive lottery and anything can happen. But who knows, plenty of points to be played for!

One(s) to watch?

Aiden McGeady and Charlie Wyke. Without a doubt. McGeady has been brought back into the side form Johnson after 12 months away from the club and has made a huge difference. 4 assists in his last game with Charlie Wyke getting 4 goals. 21 goals in all competitions.

Which teams you think will finish in the top six in League One?

In no particular order, Hull, Lincoln, Peterborough, Sunderland, Portsmouth and Doncaster.

Which teams do you think will finish in the bottom four in League One?

Northampton, Swindon, Wimbledon and Bristol Rovers.

What are your thoughts on Lincoln City?

I have nothing against Lincoln. They’ve taken the league by surprise this season and deserve to be where they are. I always enjoy seeing undergoes succeed as long as it isn’t at our expense…

What do you think the score will be?

2-1 Sunderland.

Random fact about your Club?

We hold the League One record attendance.

If you could steal one Lincoln City player for your own team, who would it be and why?

Jorge Grant. His stats this season have been great and is a player we miss in midfield in terms of his key attributes.

What are your proudest and most embarrassing moments as a Sunderland supporter?

Embarrassing? Where do I start… 8-0 vs Southampton. Back-to-back relegations. Finishing 8th in league one. Plenty to choose from… My proudest moment though, tough one. Slightly off-topic but raising over £3000 for Bradley’s Fight which is a charity that has touched the hearts of every Sunderland fan. (Shirts still on sale ).

Who would you say is your most underrated player?

Dion Sanderson. He joined the club from wolves on loan and has impressed in every game he’s played. Unfortunately, he’s cup-tied for Wednesday’s game.

Which was your favourite match involving Sunderland?

Beating Chelsea 3-2 at the stadium of light under Allardyce. Best atmosphere I’ve experienced at any stadium in the world.

Which was your least favourite match involving Sunderland?

Getting hammered 8-0 off Southampton. The less said about that game the better…

What is the best thing about Sunderland?

The people are really friendly. If you’ve ever visited as an away fan, you will really understand what I mean by that. Football is the heart of the city. When the football is good, life is even better!
