How long have you supported Doncaster Rovers?

I attended my first Rovers game at the age of 6 in 1998. My first match was actually the game that saw us relegated out of the Football League. Fair to say it could only get better from that moment.

Where did you finish last season?

9th on PPG but I have a feeling we would have made the play-offs if the season had been allowed to carry on.

What do you think of your manager?

Darren Moore is doing a brilliant job under a tight budget during the times we find ourselves in now. I wouldn’t swap him for any other manager in the league. He seems to have a good reputation within football as well which has allowed us to recruit some talented loan players during his short time at the club.

What are your hopes and expectations for the 2020/21 season?

Before the season started, I would have snapped your hands off if you offered us 6th place. Right now, though speaking after some shrewd business in January I have a sneaky feeling we can take an automatic promotion place.

One(s) to watch?

Taylor Richards is really starting to show his class now. When he picks up the ball on the halfway line anything can happen once he goes on one of his direct runs towards the opposition box. Also, Tom Anderson is a brick wall at the back. Captain fantastic now after Ben Whiteman left this month.

Which teams you think will finish in the top six in League One?

In no particular order: Pompey, Doncaster, Lincoln, Hull, Sunderland and Peterborough.

Which teams do you think will finish in the bottom four in League One?

From what I’ve seen so far: Northampton, Swindon, Burton and Wigan.

What are your thoughts on Lincoln City?

Pretty similar size club to ourselves. Both our level if we are honest is probably flirting with the play-offs in league one each season but it would be great if we could both take the automatic spots and watch on as the so-called “big teams” fight it out amongst themselves in the play-offs.

What do you think the score will be?

Head says 1-1. Heart says 1-2 Rovers.

Random fact about your Club?

Most people know us as being called “The Rovers” however, our actual nickname is “The Vikings”

If you could steal one Lincoln City player for your own team, who would it be and why?

Probably Lewis Montsma to play alongside Tom Anderson. From what I have seen he scores a few as well.

What are your proudest and most embarrassing moments as a Doncaster Rovers supporter?

Proudest would have to be between either seeing us promoted back to the football league in 2003 or beating Leeds at Wembley in the league one play off final in 2008. Brentford away in 2013 was also pretty memorable.

Embarrassing would probably be during “the experiment” season in the championship in 2011/2012. Players like Diouf coming to the club and not giving a flying **** made a laughing stock of us. Wasn’t an enjoyable watch.

Who would you say is your most underrated player?

Brad Halliday. Gets better and better every game but does not get the credit he deserves.

Do you have a Supporters Trust and what role do they play at the Club?

We do but I wouldn’t be the right person to know exactly the part they play within the club, unfortunately.

Which was your favourite match involving Doncaster Rovers?

Has to be Brentford away in 2013 when we were a penalty kick away from being put into the play-offs. Trotta missed the penalty for Brentford and we went up the other end for Coppinger to put the ball in the net to send us up as champions. Still get goosebumps now when talking about it.

Which was your least favourite match involving Doncaster Rovers?

I can’t remember back to the Richardson days so it would have to be from my memory the game at Leicester getting the news through that Birmingham had scored late on to send us down. We expected to lose against Leicester who were champions that year in the championship but getting the news through that Birmingham had scored in the 96th minute to relegated us was hard to take.

Do you have a Former Players Association at Doncaster Rovers?

No answer provided.

What is the best thing about Doncaster?

Racecourse, Airport, enjoyable nightlife and of course Doncaster Rovers.
