After last weekend’s entertaining draw with Chester at Sincil Bank, The Imps make the long journey south to face Aldershot Town this Saturday at The Recreation Ground. These teams have faced each other earlier in the season, with The Shots winning the game 1-0 in October.

Cambridge United have recalled the impressive Delano Sam-Yorke so Danny Rowe may finally get the chance to stretch his legs at the top of The Imps attack. The only other change may come out wide with Jake Sheridan not really making an impact last time out, so Conner Robinson may come in.

Rumours coming out of the training ground are that The Imps will line up with two advanced wide men and Danny Rowe playing in his more withdrawn role in the usual 4 3 3 formation. This would make sense with no target man available but it will be interesting to see if this can deliver success.

Aldershot would have an identical points score to Lincoln but suffered a ten point deduction prior to the season starting. This sees them currently occupying the last relegation slot in the division, but they do have games in hand on their rivals.

The Imps will face an uphill struggle if they are to get anything Saturday, as The Shots have been in excellent form at home not losing in their last 6 games at home. They have however not won in their last 3 games, drawing all of them in the Skrill Premier.

A win would The Imps just four points from that magic 50 points mark with 11 games to go, and would add real momentum as City look to finish in comfortable mid table rather than embroiled in their usual relegation scrap.
