Post-match views from the Match Thread:

PerthImp: “Great result, stunted performance. So good without the ball, but so poor with the ball. Our use of space and running of the ball was awful. The pitch wasn’t great at all. Definitely a penalty against Hackett, so the ref made up for it with the Duffy challenge at the end – I thought it was a bit soft but we’ll take it. Onward and upward. Near 50 pts. Now for the POs.”

PortMacImp: “Port Vale were poor and were never able to apply any pressure on us. We did enough to win the game however that game will be quickly forgotten. The pitch had an effect on the quality of the play and we were able to dictate the momentum of the game. Three more welcome points and we move on to Tuesday. Jensen and Erhahon were our standouts.”

mikeosullivan: “Not a great performance but easily enough to beat a very poor side. Erhahon and McGrandles controlled the midfield and Roughan was excellent. On to a tougher game Tuesday night.”

hulloutpost: “Quietly pockets the three points and slips out of the back door.

We’re on a good run results-wise but it would be wonderful to back it up with a statement-making performance against Shrewsbury.

League table pressure and confidence are not a factor so let’s see the handbrake coming off, with some out of the blocks high intensity on Tuesday please.”
