Views from PerthImp following the 4-0 defeat away at Peterborough United in League One: “Only one side in it today. All credit to Posh – I actually enjoyed watching them play. To a man, they were solid, skilful and determined to control the game. We had no real character and just didn’t want to hold the ball or do anything constructive with it. They were physically far superior. Oh well, put it down to experience and learn from it. Will be very interested to hear what Mark Kennedy has to say.”

Stevie_imp: “Well we’ve seen what it takes to be a top league 1/lower championship team. Let’s hope it’s a lesson learned. Well done to all that travelled especially considering £30 ticket . It’s still August so everyone relax. Thanks for your company and enjoy the rest of the weekend. Up the Imps.”

WellingtonImp: “Can’t fault the ‘keeper. Looked nervy and badly at fault for one goal, but no worse than anyone else in the side. We were just second best. Don’t mind losing to better sides, even being outplayed on occasion, as long as we can dish it out to other sides as well when it’s on the cards.”

domski2017: “There are two leagues within League one and an elite within the top half. Only two more daunting games this year are Wednesday away and Ipswich away. Lots to do but loads of average sides in this league. I think today will focus the club on some key weaknesses. Full-backs and the reserve goalkeeper. However, the plans for midfield seem sound and another wide player if Scully goes.”
