Jack Muldoon has ended his two-year association with Lincoln City by joining National League newcomers AFC Fylde on a one-year deal.

The 28-year-old was offered a 12-month contract by Imps boss Danny Cowley following the culmination of the massively successful 2016-17 season, but the Scunthorpe-born striker has opted for a move to the north west as The Coasters embark on their first-ever campaign in non-league’s top flight.

A popular and hard working member of Cowley’s squad Muldoon, who scored 13 goals in 88 outings for Lincoln following his arrival from Rochdale, found himself further down the pecking order this summer after the arrivals of Matt Green and Ollie Palmer, and the need for first-team football has prompted a move to Dave Challinor’s side.
