He has won the title both sides of the border with Celtic and Blackburn. Our born winner has had his career taken form him at Aston Villa against Manchester United. Chris Sutton does not suffer fools gladly and after perhaps his greatest success – The Imps survival this season – this natural born winner is far from a busted flush.

So lets kick down the doors of the last chance saloon and welcome in a whole knew franchise of hope expectation and some reward for the faithful eh?

Hold onto your hats and horns Imps and get ready for the ride of our lives over the next few weeks and hopefully beyond.

????????..There may be trouble ahead???????
??But while there’s music and moonlight and love and romance??.
????????Let’s face the music and dance????????..

Anything else would not be Lincoln you would argue, but oh this is a watershed. One thing is for sure this August will see a totally different Lincoln City on and off the pitch; perhaps you could go as far as to say a new breed of Imp.

Chris Sutton you feel is a man prepared to face that music and dance.

Chris Sutton has had his ups and downs with the Imps. There have been frustrations with the Youth team and players who cannot do as he asks. He has had to tolerate some shambolic performances from in all honesty at times excuses for footballers. Against the odds he has dragged us kicking and screaming to safety which many would argue have been less than generous.

But finally after the Cup run funds appeared to be less than he felt the reliance on freebie loans at a club well over budget will end as his budget refreshes thanks to season ticket and commercial funds pouring in. As Steff Wright says we can afford a bid of a blow out too. Just as well then that with so many out of contract or cheep to pay up this summer.

So it`s a right royal cull at the Imps as we celebrate year 126 under hopefully new stewardship.

But for Chris Sutton this is a watershed for one of life`s winners. Does he kick on from here and take us, perhaps the first of his many clubs to glory? Does he buy in with a few mates and come in for a long haul challenge? Or does it all come unstuck and we are back to square one all over again.

Chris Sutton you feel however is a man prepared to face that music and dance.
