Loose the dogs of war !

Lincoln City don’t have a huge history of clashes with Makkklesfield, but what there is, generally, makes for good reading.
At home we dominate proceedings, having W 7 D3 and only L 1.
Away from home The Moss Rose outfit have a tenuous edge, we have W 3 D 5 and L4.
Whilst goals don’t exactly flow for either team, City outscore Makkklesfield 28 v 20 in the 23 meetings.
Given Makkk’s form is progressively worsening, whilst ours, slowly, is improving, history may well be about to carry on regardless.
Which all goes down to tell us, Tuesdays opponents are one of the teams who regard LCFC as a ‘bogie’ team and long may it remain so.
Whatever the end result, you can bet your bottom dollar something will happen to make it stick in the mind in years to come.
Who will ever forget Barry ‘War’ Richardson’s contribution, not so long ago, in a match marred by accusations of racial slurs.
Or, the totally inept awarding of two dubious penalties by Mr.’ What rules’ Singh, giving Makkk a totally undeserved win.
We find ourselves at a crossroads in this match, win and we create a gap from our Cheshire hosts.
Lose (unthinkable!) and it’s back to the mire.

Frecktanian is unlikely to feature, the game coming just to early in his recovery and City will not be able to call on LJL as his shoulder injury has proved beyond hope of an early recovery. However, Shane Clark is available to display part 2 of his interpretation of the Kung Foo kid
and Lee Beevers will carry on where he left off in his Terry Butcher lookalike role.

Makkk have doubts over Richard Edghill and Luke Dimech, Gareth Evans may return but the main interest for Imps fans will surround whether Franny Green or Martin Gritton will play.

All in all, by 10p.m. we will have a clearer idea if the recovery is for real or merely flattering to deceive.
If City show the same grit and determination as at Shrewsbury and are prepared to battle all the way through the 90 minutes,I think we will come away with a reward.
