Lincoln City are represented in the latest Football League Team of the Week that has been selected following the clash with Chesterfield.

The performance by Sam Habergham in the three one victory over Chesterfield at the weekend at the Proact Stadium was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Habergham was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

“Impressive defensively, Habergham demonstrated his quality of delivery too, creating goals for Michael Bostwick and Scott Wharton either side of half-time to aid the Imps’ cause.”

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Habergham for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.

Reaction On 100% Imps:

Impalex: “It is always a very positive thing when I see an Imps player in the EFL Team of the Week and I say well done to Sam Habergham who this week has done it for us with his performance at Chesterfield. Sam has come in for a bit of criticism lately, especially about his crosses not being as good as last season, well, at the Proact Stadium, he reminded us what he is capable of. Not once, but twice!”

Eweimps: “Agree Impalex, two great crosses and attacked well by the two goal scorers. I think Habergham has improved since the start of the season as his fitness has increased. Probably grown in confidence too. Like to see him score a few direct free kicks like against Torquay last year. Maybe saving one for Grimsby!”
