Here’s what sedgleyimp said:

1. Don’t write this team off too soon. It’s fair to say that some of the early season belief in this team had worn off in recent weeks. Results and performances hadn’t been good and many now expected the team to fall off the pace and settle for a top ten finish only. Today showed that we are far from out of the promotion race this season. When it clicks, it clicks and that is what happened today. The performance was excellent throughout with everyone putting in a good shift. Keep the faith.

2. Confidence is vital for young players performances. There have been some comments of late concerning the body language and frustration observed on some players. If they were aware of such comments, and in this internet-based world I’m certain they would have been, today the reaction was exactly what it should have been. Getting that first goal gave the team the confidence to go on and win this game. Johnson and Rogers combined really well to give us that lead and you could see that it gave both of them the confidence to play at their best.

3. It’s going to go to the wire. This is such a tight division and it is capable of throwing up some very unpredictable results. Who today would have expected Burton and Northampton to turn over Posh and Pompey. This season will not be decided before the last set of games. Everybody strap in for an exciting couple of months.
