Lincoln City 2-2 Plymouth Argyle: Match Stats & Views From The Forum

Views from PerthImp following the 2-2 draw against Plymouth Arglye in League One: “Wow, what a game. Didn’t expect that second half. Plymouth are a very good team but my goodness what fight from the Imps. A young inexperienced side suffering injuries to two of our key players and we managed to score twice and get a point from the game. Such character 👏👏. As for McGuire – what a joke. The referee would have been fully justified in sending him off with his shenanigans. His play-acting which started the scuffling was an acting joke and he should be ashamed of himself, particularly after his earlier ‘disagreement’ with the FB on the other side of the pitch. He clearly isn’t fit but that’s no excuse for a player of his experience behaving like a play-acting thug. I hope MA has very strong words with him.
Anyway, great if unexpected point. Well-done Imps.”

Riiiiik: “We nearly did a Plymouth.

Last season we played them off the park and lost it after Grant went off injured. Today we were outplayed for most of the game but if there’d been another few minutes, I think we would have nicked the winner. Great afternoon to avoid defeat.”

APHLCFC: “I thought the main issue today aside from a few misplaced passes was that all Plymouth had to do to get out from any pressure we put on them was smash the ball up the middle and Montsma and Eyoma couldn’t deal with it, I lost count of the number of times they misjudged the flight or were simply bullied out of it by Hardie, worrying on the back of Stockton doing it to them on Tuesday.

I thought Sorensen was good, Nlundulu wasn’t perfect but he was a vast improvement on Tuesday night. All of them to a man kept going when it was pretty clear we were being outplayed and in the end battled their way to a point which is a noteworthy achievement for a young and physically small team.”

JT_LCFC: “Deserved a point after surviving a few scares, then played the majority of the second half in their half being as threatening as our attacking presence allows us currently.

Reiterate the point McGrandles, Walsh, Bridcutt, and Hopper immediately strengthen us. Hopefully, we will see that in the next few weeks.

Plymouth will be a decent side and have invested well this season. We will have many ups and downs, but a 14-16th is likely.

Appy hit the nail on the head regarding Sorrenson pretty anonymous all game but scored and made the penalty & Bramhall for me flatters to deceive, very unlike an Appleton signing in terms of technical ability.”
