The Imps drew 2-2 at home versus Barnsley in League One. City took the lead from the penalty spot in the 5th minute (Mândroiu). Two goals in four minutes put the visitors 2-1 ahead (Cotter 68′ and McAtee 72′) before TJ Eyoma scored in the 88th minute to secure a point.

Post-match reaction from the Match Thread:

LA_Imp: “Well that was a cracking game. Ups and downs but in the end, a draw is a fair result. We have a lot to be happy with but also some clear areas we must be stronger in. From that we build. Stay safe this weekend Imps. Enjoyed your company. Let’s do it all again on Tuesday.”

PerthImp: “Excellent fighting performance to claim a deserved draw. We had an off-patch in the second half where we got really sloppy and gave away two soft goals. We really need to be braver and more composed on the ball and our passing has to be much better, but you can’t argue with the fighting spirit and decent substitutions to get something out of the game. Thought Jack Burroughs probably just about deserved MoM, although TJ and Adam Jackson were excellent as well.”

berksimps: “Really good point after going behind. Comfortable first half although they had more possession. Second half couldn’t seem to retain any possession, they score two easy goals and then we wake up and play to our strengths.

We had chances to clear before they scored which was frustrating. Mandroiu noticeably more involved and better today. Unexpected goal from TJ who continued his improvement since MS arrived.”
