Lincoln City 2-1 Crewe Alexandra: Views, Highlights & Stats

Views from PerthImp following the 2-1 win at home against Crewe Alexandra in League One: “ZZZZZZ – oh, excitement at the end. Well done Imps, though it won’t be anything like same the team next year. Oh well, have a very good summer break Imps fans everywhere and let’s hope we have a bit more to cheer next year. Tremendous support despite a pretty poor season. Bodes well for the future. Up the Mighty Imps 👏👏👏👏”

Luke Imp: “To get above the 50 point mark this season feels like a minor miracle.

When we got to 41 points I said it wouldn’t surprise me if that was us already safe, 46 at the most.

Mental that 83 was needed for the PO’s this season when 75 usually gets it. Plymouth must be gutted to slip out on the final day, they seem to have been in there since the first game?

Definite split in the division between those with money and those without (relative to the division).”

clanford: “Well I’m just glad the seasons over and we have survived. For me today was another very sorry performance. Yes we have injuries and yes it was a dead rubber, but the endless passing back and sideways is soul-destroying. When we are positive, we do look good, but we just don’t seem to have any movement off the ball often enough to create that positivity. That said, it was very charitable of Crewe to take two players off the field for a few seconds to give us the space to equalise and Adelekan had a great cameo resulting in a neat finish. Nice to finish with a win, but a very busy summer ahead I think.
UTI 😀”

Gaz_Imp: “Strange game, felt very preseason and feels insignificant given manager news.

Only Poole turned up for the whole 90 really, our player of the season by some distance fittingly man of the match by some distance.

Thought that goal from Adelekun would help get him in shop window, but perhaps new manager will give him another chance?

If new manager was watching a few of them didn’t do themselves any favours.”
