Thought Duffy did okay and Makama, who worked hard and actually closed down and got the odd foot in …. which Adelakun just doesn’t know how to do.

Makama took his goal well, he wasn’t getting caught. He just needs to get stronger and he could be a real handful eventually.

Really liked Gallagher, he is now quite a good size too and did some good things.

TJ defended well but still promises a mistake in possession. Wright made a couple of good saves but then rushed out and almost presented a gaping goal when the defender had the situation covered.

Adelakun scored but should have done quite a bit better with another couple of chances…..

…and Shodipo was certainly saving a bit in the tank should he be called upon on Saturday.

Apparently, if we win 1-0 we could well be in the top 6 come Christmas and if we lose 1-0 relegation beckons …. or something along those lines.”

You usually see a few highly technical players who grab the eye even though they lack the physical strength to match solid League One players. They were there for a roasting and only their keeper stood out, albeit for the last 10 minutes when he made 4 quality saves. It was a real lack of lustre, testimonial type tepid affair.

There were at least 3 scouts watching and taking notes tonight, Christ knows who they were watching unless it was keeping tabs on our loanees Mitchell and Burroughs. If they were there to watch their Keeper, well that’s tough on him they left with 10 minutes to go to beat the rush.”
