Lincoln City 1-1 Carlisle United: Post-Match Views & Stats

Views from mikeosullivan following Saturday’s 1-1 draw at home versus Carlisle United in League One: “Happy with a point today with the injuries, but after two weeks without a game, I do wonder if we will ever have a fully fit first team squad.

And that is concerning, as the starting eleven seemed more concerned about who was absent than knuckling down and playing during that awful first half.

It took Adelekun to get them going second half, and that is something I thought I would not be saying this season.”

Scotimp: “I’ll take that, four of our best players missing including two of the best in L1. Had the character to get a point out of that after going a goal down despite having no impact subs available.”

clanford: “In the end it was a good point. Neither side looked like winning and with House Walker and Mandriou all missing at the start, for me a good out come. Obviously the big concern is how long they will be out. As for the match, apart from Plange ( who else ) giving Carlisle the lead, they never really threatened. To be fair, we were also fairly impotent until a neat move allowed Hamilton to hammer home a beautiful low drive. Big shout out to Adelakun. Considering how he’s been frozen out, thought he put in a real shift and was very unlucky not to get on the end of that low cross.”
