Following Tuesday night’s 5-1 win at home against Bolton Wanderers in League One, we asked our members what three things they learned from the match.

Here’s what sedgleyimp said:

1. John Akinde has a future at this level and at our club. There are some supporters at our club who won’t take to him irrespective of what he attempts or achieves but I think last night showed what he offers this team as an alternative option. When he came on last night the score was 1-1. His introduction was the catalyst for us scoring four late goals. Bolton’s defenders simply could not handle him. Him being on the pitch gave Tyler that little bit more space for his sublime finish and he was rewarded with two decent goals himself once Bolton’s defence has collapsed.

"John Akinde has a future at this level and at our club." - Do you agree?

Yes

No

2. History means nothing. Bolton may have a high historical reputation but will be playing in League 2 next season and based on last nights performance will struggle to keep their league status. They are a poor team and are a warning to all clubs that if you don’t do things properly and above board this is what you get.

3. Harry Toffolo will always be an Imp. I would be pleasantly surprised if he lines up for us at home to Blackpool come Saturday. If his expected move does happen he will go with the very warmest of thanks from every Lincoln supporter. With all the speculation surrounding him at the moment, some players could have allowed this to affect their performance. Not Harry. No tackle was shirked. He gave his usual 100%. It was the end of the match though that showed what this club means to him. I don’t think I can recall an individual player being that emotional with the supporters. A genuine hall of fame Imp for me.
