Lincoln are poised to assign Huddersfield Under-23 captain Regan Booty on loan.
The 19-year-old, who has yet to feature for the Terriers’ first team, is a left-footed central midfielder and is the son of former Crewe, Reading, Southend and Chesterfield defender Martyn Booty.
Huddersfield boss David Wagner rates the teenager highly and said after handing him a new contract earlier this year: ‘He has good football intelligence, he works very hard, he is a good talent and has a lot of space to improve even more.’
Despite yet not featuring for the first team, he has been training regularly with the ‘big boys’, but he is set to join Lincoln on their Portuguese tour and pen a temporary deal with Danny Cowley’s men.
