Steven Lennon will be the Imps first summer signing as soon as the transfer window opens. The 5 foot 7 inch 22 year old Glasgow Rangers hitman appears to have done enough to impress Chris Sutton with his 3 goals in thirteen starts, to warrant a permanent deal. He has been on loan at the Imps for an absolute bargain of a wage contribution, liked what he has seen and been less than complimentary about Scottish football in general. So the path was pretty much set in stone on February the 1st when he joined us on a loan until the end of the season.

Rangers will not stand in our way with the youngster being allowed to leave on a free despite him still being under 24 and a slim chance of a fee of some kind The Gers were the ones that converted him to a goalscorer though amazingly our manager, an ex centre forward, has used him out wide so far.

Lennon has certainly showed ability in front of goal with some calm finishes. However his success rate with one on ones and his size suggests the jury is rightly still out. Though we wish the lad luck you have to wonder if he is any better than Fagan. He looked a fabulous young find with a great finish, trying to find his feet in a struggling team to many.
