Lincoln entertain in-form Chester City down at the Bank and they will be looking to end a depressing run of form that hasn’t seen them win at home since late September.

Vital Quotes:

Keith Alexander:

‘There are far too many draws and it’s not good enough.’

David Bell (assistant boss of Chester)

‘We won’t underestimate them. They’re a good side who are strong, physical and get the ball forward early so we know it’ll be difficult.?

Lincoln City Team News:

Crewe transfer target Lee Beevers is rated as extremely doubtful with an ankle injury. Lee Frecklington and Ollie Ryan have both been recalled from loan spells, at Stamford and Ilkeston respectively, and will be in the squad. Danny Bacon remains a long-term absentee with a broken leg.

Player to watch: Dean Keates

Keates has shone like a beacon for City this season in the centre of midfield. The diminutive former Kidderminster man, who was player of the year for the Harriers last season, is a little terrier in midfield, constantly foraging forward, eager in the tackle and deadly from set-piece plays.

Chester City Team News:

Chester will again be without Gregg Blundell who has a thigh problem, while fellow striker Michael Branch is sidelined with a knee injury. Defender Sean Hessey (knee) will also miss out.

Player to watch: Ryan Lowe

The ex-Shrewsbury striker is currently enjoying his most prolific spell of his career and already has 12 goals to his name this season. The move to Cheshire has rejuvenated a player who was going off the ball at Gay Meadow and the Imps will have to watch him closely.

Match Facts & Stats

Match Prediction:

A game Lincoln just have to win, but Chester have only lost once in eight matches and will be a tough nut to crack. Goalscoring remains a problem area for the Imps and it?s difficult to see how they will improve in that area without bringing anyone in. This has all the makings of a draw.
