The Vital Lincoln City members’ voted for whom they believe was The Imps Man of The Match in their 2-1 win at home against Milton Keynes Dons in Sky Bet League Two.

Views from Casperimp: “Well I hope all those that doubted Petts ability last season are now prepared to revise their initial assessment of him?

It was clear he had the undoubted ability but the style clearly didn’t suit him. Now he has settled in and we are playing to his undoubted strengths I think his class at this level is there for all to see.”

Here’s how the poll finished:

Vickers: 0 votes – 0.0%
O’Connor: 0 votes – 0.0%
Shackell: 13 votes – 24.5%
Pett: 23 votes – 43.4%
Andrade: 4 votes – 7.5%
Toffolo: 0 votes – 0.0%
Bostwick: 1 vote – 1.9%
McCartan: 2 votes – 3.8%
Eardley: 0 votes – 0.0%
Anderson: 0 votes – 0.0%
Akinde: 10 votes – 18.9%

Some of the comments:

berksimps: “Thought it was between Shackell, Pett and Andrade.

Went for Shackell: so composed, great organisation, looked fitter than in previous games, some quality tackles, and at the death scored the 94th-minute winner. You can’t ask for much more than that.”

Stevie_imp: “Several contenders. Andrade, Pett, McCartan and Akinde had good games but Shackell just edged it for me. Completely unfazed in defence and a good goal.”

Rob the Imp: “Pett for me. The sheer amount of balls he wins back and then shares out is incredible! Gets everywhere, gets the ball and uses it well. What’s not to like?”
