“I am really excited to be part of the project.” – The Imps Sign Three: The Reaction

|

Lincoln City has today completed the signings of defender Cian Bolger from Fleetwood Town on a two-and-a-half year deal, defender James Brown from Millwall on a loan deal until the end of the season and Danny Rowe on loan from Ipswich Town until the end of the season.

26-year-old Cian Bolger has spent the last two seasons at Fleetwood Town. During that time, he made over 100 appearances for the Cod Army.

Speaking to the Official Site, Bolger said: “I had offers from the higher leagues, but I have had a chat with the manager and he’s put his plans to me with where he wants the club to go so I am really excited to be part of the project.”

Reaction on 100% Imps:

impsimps: “Good choices to have, solid signing, will be needed to cover injuries and suspensions which are bound to happen to the end of the season. Very good news.”

Scotimp: “Was linked with Hearts at the end of August in addition to a list of Championship clubs over the past three or four seasons. Obviously highly rated by a lot of people.”

21-year-old James Brown spent the 2017/18 season on loan at fellow League Two side Carlisle United, where he made 34 appearances.

Speaking to the Official Site, Brown said: “The gaffer is the one who got me here through phone calls, he seems really enthusiastic and there is a good vibe around the place.”

Reaction on 100% Imps:

Scotimp: “Was given one game for Livingston, away at Celtic on the opening day of the season. Was substituted at 3-0 down and never featured for them again. Not exactly a fair game to judge him by.”

Rasenimp: “Strange little career at Livingston. Sounds like he’s another who will get games, and maybe they can manage Eardley a bit more. If he’s a good defensive fullback, better for away games maybe.”

26-year-old Danny Rowe returns to The Imps on loan from Ipswich Town. During his previous loan spell with City, Rowe made 16 appearances in the second half of the 2017/18 season.

Speaking to the Official Site, Rowe said: “The main reason I came was because I feel comfortable playing under Danny and Nicky, and every game is big game at the top of the league.”

Reaction on 100% Imps:

Snats: “Great bit of business. Fantastic to have some cover for Andrade and Anderson. Presume he’ll go straight into the team on Saturday.”

Rasenimp: “Rated him when he was here, good player. If he’s fit and straight in Andrade might have to work to get in?”
