Vital are chuffed to announce that Andrew Hutchinson has won the League Football Education’s Apprentice of the Month award for April. This is not be be confused with the BBC Apprentice programme as it is 100% sugar free.

Andrew is a credit to the club and a shining example to all the other students coming through the system. He is also the first Imp to ever win the award. This also reflects well on Tom Spall and Grant Brown who continue to produce talent from a budget of peanuts.

Well done to all three of you and everyone else who helps with the youth set up.

This from the LFE website in association with Puma

‘Andy has made an excellent start to his Apprenticeship with the Red Imps. A regular in the Youth and reserve team Andy scored 14 goals in the Youth Alliance League and made his first team debut as a substitute against Luton Town in April.

‘He made his full debut the following week at Bradford City in front of 13,000 people, and scored Lincoln’s goal in a 1-1 draw to become the Club’s youngest ever league scorer.

‘Andy is conscientious and hard working in all areas of his Apprenticeship and despite missing some education due to first team training he makes up the work in his own time and is on target for all his 1st year work.’
