The question is will Chris Sutton raid Blackburn Rovers before Friday or rely on Dany Hone and I’m-having-a-ball Moses Swaibu at the centre of defence? Ian Pearce has been the prodigal old Warhorse since coming in for the injured Nathan Baker, but both are likely to be absent for 3-4 weeks. Ian has thrown himself at everything both ends of the field and galvanised the spirits of a young Imp side since coming in. With Pearce and Kerr`s steadying influence we would have been routed during a frightening February when the bullets and flack were all flying.
In all honesty with money so tight at the Imps any chance of a new loan will depend on the generosity of Sam Allardyce. But home and Hone is where the heart is because Dany is an Imp through and through. His Dad was a hero and he is a hero every time he puts on the stripes. He gets clattered and is always, always willing to throw himself on the line for our club. Don`t moan let`s here it Friday for Danny Hone!
Janos leaving and the subsequent injuries give Danny Hone a great opportunity to come in and prove that he has what it takes. Ok so it is a youthful central defensive partnership, but it`s true Imp Brit Grit and the smile of the wise one as two of our favourites step up to the plate to show their metal. It’s young mean and keen because with Hone & Moses there’s no supposes as you get exactly what it says on the tin.
