“He’s a very stylish, well-spoken, calm and respected manager.”

On this occasion, we’re going to fast forward to the last time The Imps played Milton Keynes Dons, rather than look at the last time they played at Stadium MK! So, the two sides last met on Saturday 22nd September at Sincil Bank, in front of a crowd of 9,322. The visitors went ahead through second-half substitute Rhys Healey in the 64th minute, but The Imps hit back 8 minutes later, with Shay McCartan making it 1-1. Deep into injury time, The Imps got the final chance of the match, with Jason Shackell leaping the highest to nod home his second goal in as many matches and secure all three points.

First up, the answers provided by Danny:

How long have you supported Milton Keynes Dons?

The interest came a year before Wimbledon FC actually moved to Milton Keynes, due to supporting campaigns via school. I have continued supporting them ever since the move to originally the National Hockey Stadium as Wimbledon and now as Milton Keynes Don’s at Stadium MK.

Where did you finish last season?

23rd and relegated from League One.

What do you think of your Manager?

He’s a very stylish, well spoken, calm and respected manager. Tisdale has changed the negative atmosphere & built a squad with not only a good formation but more importantly the squad has the depth to be able to adapt. He has done this in a very short time frame and regained a connection with the fan base.

What were your hopes and expectations at the start of the season?

Mid-table, with a late shout for a playoff spot.

One(s) to watch?

The attacking trio of Agard, Aneke, Hesketh, Gilbey pulls the strings in midfield (if fit).

Who do you think will finish in the top 7?

The same top 7 as it currently stands.

Who do you think will finish in the bottom 2?

The same two teams as it currently stands.

What are your thoughts on Lincoln City?

A team that has had the least complacency and continued to pick up points. If they beat us again they deserve the title. If we win then the last 5 matches could be interesting.

What do you think the score will be?

2-1 MK Dons (will take a draw).

Random fact about your Club?

We are the only football ground to have four TV screens on pitchside. (Not that they are easy to see and half the time only show adverts).

Marshall amplification was first made in Milton Keynes. Their head office is just down the road from the stadium. The sound system in the ground is Marshall amps. We used to be sponsored by Marshall.

If you could steal one Lincoln City player for your own team, who would it be and why?

John Akinde as he has been linked to us in so many transfer windows.

What are your proudest and most embarrassing moments as a Milton Keynes Dons Supporter?

Proudest when Gareth Edds scored a last minute winner vs Tranmere at the National Hockey Stadium to keep us up which sparked our first pitch invasion in MK Don’s history.

Embarrassing moment getting promoted to the Championship and not spending/having enough money to sign will Grigg who we had on loan.

Who would you say is your most underrated player?

Most underrated player Kieran Agard who is now only starting to get recognition once more for his goals. In League One he struggled as did the entire team. He sometimes has an awkward looking and poor first touch with back to goal but League Two and this formation is working for him this year. A real fox in the box with 20 plus goals already.

Do you have a Supporters Trust and what role do they play at the Club?

Yes, a lot of work on Social Media is done by the Trust to help fans. Speak to a member for more information.

Which was your favourite match involving Milton Keynes Dons?

Beating AFC Wimbledon in the cup at Stadium MK in the last minute was also a big moment for Milton Keynes as a city in front of a sell out crowd and of course the 4-0 win vs Manchester United.

Which was your least favourite match involving Milton Keynes Dons?

Peterborough away, even worse when losing there.

Do you have a Former Players Association at Milton Keynes Dons?

No.

What’s the best thing about Milton Keynes?

The grid system is very unique which enables very good fast traffic flow. People not from MK often think it’s a concrete jungle however after 50 years this is certainly not the case. Plenty of nice lakes and areas to walk once off the grid system. You may hear Welcome To The Jungle being played as a reference to the concrete jungle comments.

Coventry & Northampton have major problems. Your thoughts on them sharing Stadium MK temporarily?

Northampton are now stable once more. I would be happy to ground share to temporarily help a local club out until they become more stable.

Which team did you support before 2004 and why did you change?

Manchester United, I changed when I was around 14 years old once I had local football on my doorstep and able to go with friends to watch local football.

You’re amongst the lowest ‘drawers’ (is that even a proper word in this context?!) in the division and have had a couple of really poor patches this season, particularly that 9-11 game spell earlier in the season. Is that inconsistency been down to injuries or Tisdale trying to find the best way with the players available to him?

Had a lot of injuries to our back 4. JMT was a huge loss. Also lost a key loan signing Healey, who had to go back to Cardiff. Replaced him well in Hesketh, Wheeler, and Walker and found other formations and ways to win.

Has Paul Tisdale lived up to his pre-season expectations?

Yes.

If/when you are promoted how much of your current squad is League One material?

First 11 players are good enough but will need better, faster wingers to compete in League One plus a decent striker on loan.

Is Paul Tisdale ready for another crack at League One football management?

Yes.

You have four games left against other promotion contenders, namely Lincoln and Mansfield at home with Tranmere and Colchester away. You also have two difficult looking games against relegation-threatened teams Port Vale (H) and Notts County (A) – realistically, how many points do you think you will get from those, your last six games?

14.

And now for the answers provided by Brando:

How long have you supported Milton Keynes Dons?

15 years.

Where did you finish last season?

23rd in League One.

What do you think of your Manager?

Nice bloke, great taste in hats, doesn’t wear cravats enough these days.

What were your hopes and expectations at the start of the season?

To stop the rot and play some good football. Mission accomplished.

One(s) to watch?

For Saturday? Jake Hesketh and Kieran Agard.

Who do you think will finish in the top 7?

Lincoln City, Milton Keynes Dons, Mansfield Town, Bury, Tranmere Rovers, Exeter City, and Forest Green Rovers.

Who do you think will finish in the bottom 2?

Notts County and Yeovil Town.

What are your thoughts on Lincoln City?

Banners blah blah sirens blah blah etc.

What do you think the score will be?

2-0 Dons.

Random fact about your Club?

We’re far more popular than you’d think really ;).

If you could steal one Lincoln City player for your own team, who would it be and why?

No idea – couldn’t name one.

What are your proudest and most embarrassing moments as a Milton Keynes Dons Supporter?

Proudest – promotion to the Championship, League Two title, winning the JPT at Wembley, destroying Man Utd 4-0 and the way everyone involved in the club behaved in the run-up to the first game against the Kingston lot.

Embarrassing – the way Robinson was booed off at the end of his last match.

Who would you say is your most underrated player?

Dean Lewington. He’s one for the future.

Do you have a Supporters Trust and what role do they play at the Club?

Technically yes, although it hasn’t been active for a long time.

Which was your favourite match involving Milton Keynes Dons?

The first match against the Kingston lot – the heel of God.

Either that or a 5-0 defeat away at Rochdale back in Ince’s first season – no idea why that one was so much fun, but it was.

Which was your least favourite match involving Milton Keynes Dons?

Choose almost any from the Nielsen season.

Do you have a Former Players Association at Milton Keynes Dons?

We can still get all of our former players on a single page in the programme, so probably not.

What’s the best thing about Milton Keynes?

Roundabouts and history.

Coventry & Northampton have major problems. Your thoughts on them sharing Stadium MK temporarily?

It would be really funny to see Northampton have to swallow their pride and come and play here – they’re not keen on us apparently. I’ve always had a soft spot for Coventry (saw my first game there at some point in the 70s) so they can come too. Between the three sides we could almost fill the place.

Which team did you support before 2004 and why did you change?

The honest answer is having ended up as an armchair Premier League fan, the lure of lower league football was just too much to resist.

It’s been both – we’ve had a lot of injuries, particularly defensively, so he’s had to shuffle things around on a regular basis, and he’s not always got it right first time.

Has Paul Tisdale lived up to his pre-season expectations?

Second with six games left? I’d say yes.

If/when you are promoted how much of your current squad is League One material?

Most of it would be mid-table League One level, probably only a handful are really top end material.

12.

And finally, the answers provided by Oliver:

How long have you supported Milton Keynes Dons?

10 years.

Where did you finish last season?

23rd in League One.

What do you think of your Manager?

I don’t really have an overall opinion of him yet. He’s doing a good job so I’m not complaining.

What were your hopes and expectations at the start of the season?

Playoffs at best.

One(s) to watch?

Kieran Agard, Chuks Aneke and Jake Hesketh.

Who do you think will finish in the top 7?

Lincoln City, Milton Keynes Dons, Bury, Mansfield Town, Tranmere Rovers, Exeter City, and Forest Green Rovers.

Who do you think will finish in the bottom 2?

Macclesfield Town and Yeovil Town.

What are your thoughts on Lincoln City?

Great fanbase now but only seem to have found fans in the past few years. It’s great what’s been done though. As much as the 617 Squadron hate our club, I’ll admit they do a good job.

What do you think the score will be?

0-0.

Random fact about your Club?

We have the joint worst playoff record in the EFL.

If you could steal one Lincoln City player for your own team, who would it be and why?

Probably Shackell. Definitely one of the best players I’ve seen this season.

What are your proudest and most embarrassing moments as a Milton Keynes Dons Supporter?

Proudest moment is either beating Manchester United 4-0 or getting promoted to the Championship. The most embarrassing moment is easily the relegation last season.

Who would you say is your most underrated player?

Dean Lewington. 34 year old left back who was basically kicked out of the team last season and has now got the 7th highest amount of assists in the league this season and has been our best player by a mile.

Do you have a Supporters Trust and what role do they play at the Club?

Yes, we do, but they aren’t the most respected group at the club…

Which was your favourite match involving Milton Keynes Dons?

MK Dons 2-1 AFC Wimbledon. Scoring a backheel in the 94th minute against them. Nothing will ever beat it.

Which was your least favourite match involving Milton Keynes Dons?

Probably Southend away last season. Lost 4-0 and relegation was pretty much confirmed.

Do you have a Former Players Association at Milton Keynes Dons?

Not that I’m aware of.

What’s the best thing about Milton Keynes?

Roundabouts.

Coventry & Northampton have major problems. Your thoughts on them sharing Stadium MK temporarily?

Coventry are welcome to come. Northampton however, they’re anything but welcome.

Which team did you support before 2004 and why did you change?

I mean, I was 2 years old so I didn’t support anyone.

Injuries. There have been points where we’ve had 1 fit centre half. Our midfield has also been affected by injuries and our best midfielder is currently out injured.

Has Paul Tisdale lived up to his pre-season expectations?

I think he has. He’s turned the place around.

If/when you are promoted how much of your current squad is League One material?

I think some are. I think a number of new players will come in over the Summer. That’s how it is at this level.

Is Paul Tisdale ready for another crack at League One football management?

I couldn’t answer that. I really have no idea.

I think 14 would be a solid amount. If we get any more than that then I think promotion will be a certainty.
