“He inspires others around him.”

Following Saturday’s 3-2 win at home against Burton Albion in League One, we asked our members what three things they learned from the match.

Here’s what Impalex said:

1. The value and importance of Michael Bostwick, a player we have sorely missed but who has now come back and made a massive difference to our defence. He inspires others around him, such as Mad Max Melbourne and Conor Coventry who have both come on well since Bozzie returned. He’ll also inspire greater confidence in Alan Sheehan who has made a slow but positive start.

2. Never write a player off before he has been given the time to prove his manager right. This is particularly so of Tom Hopper who has drawn unfair criticism from some quarters since he joined us from Southend.

Methinks those critics have been well and truly silenced following Tom’s performance Vs Burton Albion.

3. Michael Appleton’s side has shown real fight and ‘bouncebackability’ in recent games, coming back to draw 1-1 Vs Milton Keynes after going an early goal down then gaining a creditable 0-0 draw Vs Gillingham following the disappointing result at Accrington Stanley and then coming back not once, but twice against a decent footballing side in Burton Albion. To me, this indicates that a corner has been turned and we are about to set the Lincoln Loco rolling again! All aboard!

Thank you to Graham Burrell and Lincoln City Football Club for the photograph!
