Imps boss Keith Alexander sprung a surprise this afternoon by naming Franny Green in the starting line-up for City’s clash at Wrexham.
The 25-year-old striker, recently recalled from a loan spell with Boston, was thrown back into action in place of the suspended Marvin Robinson, with Gary Birch having to settle for a place on the bench.
Meanwhile, there was no place in the squad for Derek Asamoah, who has been linked with a move to Chester, while Steve Robinson was named as a substitute after ending his loan term with Worksop.
