It has today been revealed that former Mansfield Town, Preston North End and Lincoln City Defender Luke Foster has signed a deal with Conference Premier rivals Southport FC.
On the Southport Website Martin Foyle has said “Luke Foster is a leader, I am excited we have got a player at the back of his calibre. He will galvanise our younger players.”
Southport have also signed Richard Brodie and Scott Kay.
Reaction on the forum:
Rasenimp: “Got a coaching role there too.
Not sure Simmo always fancied him this season.”
Dutch1585: “Yeah, wasn’t likely to stay here, he nearly left in the final few months of the season, good luck to him.”
The Imposter: “Not sure I was all that keen either. Okay at centre-back, but poor anywhere else. We can do better.”
