Views from Rasenimp following Saturday’s 2-0 win away at Milton Keynes Dons in Sky Bet League Two: “Fantastic professional away performance. Think we started a little bit slowly but grew into it about the 25-minute mark and following the penalty could have got a second.
I don’t think they caused us loads of problems, to be honest, the straight ball seemed to be our biggest undoing as once in the first half and for the Bostwick yellow, they nearly got in. I think the left winger who came on caused Eardley a few problems, as someone with a bit of pace sometimes does, but to go there and never feel massively under duress is some achievement. Compared to the intensity of Bury, this was a very composed away win.
O’Hara / Pett was a brilliantly balanced set up today.”
More views from the Match Thread:
Snats: “Amazing. Just amazing. I haven’t celebrated a goal like that since the day we won promotion. Absolutely everyone was brilliant. The atmosphere at the end was brilliant. I’m so happy.”
Sincilbanks: “Thought they looked tidy going forward without much end product. JA was excellent as was Pett and McCarton. Thought Bruno was disappointing until his final flourish which was an excellent finish.
They kicked Harry all over the park for the first 30 minutes and the ref didn’t book anyone.
I thought we didn’t press anywhere near as much as normal which considering the size of the pitch was fair enough but hard graft coupled with teamwork and a sprinkling of being excellent in all the right areas saw us home..
Excellent day out and the fans were simply magnificent as always…”
Gaz_Imp: “Most of it’s been said, but just few thoughts…
Still can’t go over the Gilks save, thought they’d levelled. Also loved the standing ovation after, no chant for the fella as we don’t have one so everyone just stood to applause for about a minute, hairs on the back of your neck stuff.

Back four all very solid. Attacking 4 all worked hard with Akinde particularly causing problems.
And midfield two bloody superb. Takes something to keep Freck and O’Connor out at this level but these two are going from strength to strength. Pett oozes class and O’Hara full on energy.
Still smiling and will be all week. Superb day. Up the Imps.”
