Exeter City (a): 3 Things We Need To Do To Beat Them

Ahead of tomorrow afternoons Sky Bet League Two game against Exeter City at St. James’ Park, we asked our members what three things we need to do to beat them.

Here’s whats Imps2018 said:

1. Stop Hiram Boateng: In the playoff matches, he was allowed to run straight at our defence to score a second for Exeter and win them the game. His runs from midfield caused us problems all game long. The midfield needs to be willing to get stuck in.

2. Manage Jayden Stockley: The top scorer for Exeter last season with 3 goals this season too, if we give him a chance he will probably score. Well managed in the playoff matches last season to keep the score close, if we fail to do the same again we could be a goal behind very quickly.

3. Make plenty of noise in the away end: Due to reconstruction works there’s a limited number of tickets available for away fans. Those who do attend must cheer the lads on as though there are triple the number of fans there to make it feel like a normal away game.
