Which legendary commentator was a director of Gillingham for seven years?

Samuel Barrott was one of several officials that were promoted to the Football League during last summer.

His Football League debut came in September, when he refereed the EFL Trophy match between Morecambe and Rochdale (1-2).

Samuel Barrott has been the man in the middle for one match involving Lincoln City:

07/11/20: Lincoln City 6-2 Forest Green Rovers (FA Cup) – 4 yellow cards

TOTALS: Matches: 1 Yellow Cards: 4 Red Cards: 0

He received an average rating of 7.84 following the 6-2 win at home against Forest Green Rovers in November. Some of the comments can be found below:

sedgleyimp: “ For me a very solid 7.5.

Not a difficult match to ref ( have any been so far without the baying wolves in the stands??) and got the decisions right on the whole. Some might have gone red early on for Edun.”

Scotimp: “ 8 from me. Gave a few soft fouls, especially one where an FGR player went down in three separate stages. Good otherwise.”

GreenNeedle: “ I’ll give him a 7. Edun was lucky but from our TV angle couldn’t see clearly how bad it was despite being able to time the seconds between ball being played and player being cleaned out.

Other than that he was very good.”
