The City U18’s fine pre-season form continued last night when they thrashed Newark Town’s First Team 5-1 at Collingham FC’s ground.
Goalscorers for City U18’s were Jordan Harper and Matt Cotton. Both goals came either side of a stunning 15 minute hat trick from Alex Simmons which capped a stunning performance from Lincoln City U18’s.
The playing surface was brilliant and our U18’s definitely took advantage by passing the ball round extremely well.
Their next pre-season friendly is against Lincoln Moorlands Railway on Saturday 3rd August and the game will kick-off at 4pm.
One member from Vital Lincoln said they played the ‘ball to feet’, they were ‘creative’ and ‘took no prisoners in the tackle!’
