Firstly Guys/Girls I would like to apologise as we was expecting news on more sponsors but due to unforeseen circumstances with a problem being created with the council all time was prioritised sorting this.

I received a phone call today from Humberside police, and they kindly informed me that everything has to go through the councils event and planning committee, I was unaware of this.

We are hoping all is sorted now though, and only small details are left to be sorted, but due to backing from the local police forces and the clubs and the amount of press and local support we are hoping to overcome these problems.

As many saw on Tuesday night we was presented with a signed gtfc shirt and had a chance to speak to the chairman of each club, during this conversation some great things happened, both club chairman have agreed to ride in the event, John Fenty (GTFC Chairman) will either start us off at BP, or will ride With Steff Wright (LCFC Chairman) from the city boundaries.

Steff Wright has also very generously agreed to donate all ticket money from the riders back in to the collection, More details to follow.
With regards to tickets, all riders are reminded you will need to Purchase one, we will set up a meeting with GTFC later towards the time, and hopefully get advanced tickets to ensure all riders have a ticket.

Lcfc chairman Steff Wright has also promised some signed shirts as well as a signed ball (voucher already received.)

With regards to other details.

We can now confirm Ready Rent a Van will be donating a mini bus for this event.

Local Fruit is being donated from A fruit shop on Lamberts Road Grimsby

We are waiting to confirm details from Tesco/Asda and Wilkinson, this will be hopefully by Wednesday night.

Gyms, We are aware of some problems getting passes and are working extremely hard to sort these, we already have 10 passes (6 still available for immingham gym).
With regards to Bargate Fitness, all details will be confirmed on Monday.
We Would just Like to thank Bishop Grot Uni (Lincoln) For allowing Myself and Josh Lane have access to there gym facilities.

We are having HUGE problems getting bikes for the event, so if you have a spare bike or a friend who will lend one for the event please get in touch.
We are working extremely hard to solve this problem.

We are going to be holding a meeting In roughly two weeks, we are going to confirm date time and place in the next update on Wednesday
With a meeting also held on the Friday before the event. (meeting 29/8/08)

A pre-ride will also be held on the Wednesday before the event its self, a little stroll for riders.

With regards to Charities we would like to thank St Andrews and St Barnabas and Cancer Research UK for their continued support.

For LCFC fans:
A meeting will be set up for all riders in due time, to confirm all details and the routes/times and other important information.

A final Note we would like to thank Gareth (meanwoodmariner on the fishy) for his continual hard work on the website, without him the website wouldnt be possible.

We were expecting a lot more news but as published we are sorry this has become unavailble.
Our next news update will be on Wednesday at 7pm.

If anyone needs more details has any questions please feel free to email us on contact@biketothebank.co.uk

Finally we still need riders from Both Clubs to make this a success please get in touch if you can help.

Thank you all for your continued support.
