Barnsley 0-3 Lincoln City: Views & Stats

Views from PortMacImp following Tuesday night’s 3-0 win away at Barnsley in the EFL Trophy: “Will the Imps get a more comfortable game than that this season, I doubt it. Plenty of positives from the game with Diamond always willing to take on his opponent with speed and skill. Along with Garrick, we have two real wide players that will provide plenty for the fans to enjoy. Also impressive was the way Mark Kennedy quickly instructed his players to avoid getting involved with anything untoward after the Norwood incident. A composed performance from the team who always looked in control of that game.”

More views from our Match Thread:

sedgleyimp: “Really pleasing win that. Barnsley very poor and Norwood being a bell-end helped, but a professional performance all round.

Controlled the game and we seem to have learned from losing the lead late on last Saturday.”

Chesterimp: “Pleasant evening’s entertainment for my £10, fringe players and new players all positives tonight. Robson had a good game, linked well with Diamond, good to see Makama score and he played well in his few minutes – as did House when he then dropped deeper.”

clanfordimp: “Good performance. You can only beat what’s in front of you but we totally dominated the game especially when they went to 10 men.

Some good individual performances and well done to Bishop with his goals and Makama getting his first ever senior goal for us.

Yes, it’s only the Pizza Cup and we will face much bigger challenges than that this season but Vernam, OB, Benn and Diamond did very well and Walsh managed to complete over 2,700 seconds without getting injured.”
