Here’s how the poll finished:

Views from our poll thread:

sedgleyimp: “Diamond was very good for 6o minutes before tiring. Was a constant threat to their defence. Promising.

Ted Bishop very unlucky for the second game running I have to say.”

Chesterimp: “I expect the majority will go for Diamond who had an exciting debut.

So I’ll go for another player who has had a some good games but lots of criticism in his time here. Jamie Robson got forward well, linked well with Diamond and then Scully, defended well in the main and gets my vote.

Bishop took his goals well, the second a piece of nonsense but he made the finish look much easier than it was.”

Eweimps: “Gone for Jack Diamond for his terrific debut with poor old Bish only runner up again for his second brace in a week. I thought Vernum had a good game too.”

syimp: “Diamond, a cut above, despite Bishop’s tap-in and excellently-taken second.

Vernam, Sorensen, Benn ( on his debut) and Robson also had better than average games, in what was a walk in the park.”
