The Imps went the perfect ten’ on Saturday with hard fought win over Hereford. The one goal advantage was pretty precarious at the end but Colin Larkin’s penalty was enough to secure victory and carry on the run. After a general consensus of ‘ten out of ten’ for the Walsall game (with the occasional eleven) this was more like business as usual, so thanks to the sixteen people who rated!

Man of the match – and not for the first time in recent weeks – was the ever improving Jake Sheridan. The former Tamworth winger scored an average of 8.00, with one nine and one seven either side of a plethora of eights. There was a time where Sheridan looked as if he would struggle to get past the average mark of six, but a couple of goals and the penalty win on Saturday have added end product to the endeavour. He’s not the only one to have massively improved in recent weeks, as midfield destroyer Mamadou Fofana was once again above seven (7.06) while the ever consistent Jamie Taylor scored 7.31 despite being substituted in the 67th minute. Peter Gilbert and player rater leader Tom Miller were both over seven themselves, with the only weak spots being a sub-standard 5.63 for Adam Smith while Gary Mills only managed 5.88.

In terms of posters, BrownImp and ImpfromWashy were the most generous as they both gave team averages of 7.08, while the least enthused was Blake who gave City an average of 6.38. That included two fives and the only score below 8 for Jake Sheridan!
