How long have you supported Birmingham City?

I’ve been a Birmingham City fan for 33 years.

What are your hopes and expectations for the 2024/25 season?

The 24/25 season has to be an automatic promotion at all costs. Anything less than top of the league will raise eyebrows for me. A swift return to the Championship is a must.

What are your thoughts on your manager?

Our manager Chris Davies is doing a stellar job. Can’t fault him at all especially as it’s his first managerial job. He’s got us playing some beautiful possession-based football.

One(s) to watch?

The squad is littered with dangerous players but if had to single one out it’d be Tomiki Iwata. He’s very steady defensively, can pick a pass and he’s chipping in with goals from deep too. What a player!

Which of your new signings are you most excited about?

Jay Stansfield has to be the most exciting of our new signings. We’ve spent a lot of money on him especially being a League One side. He’s showing signs of being a Premier League player in the future and is on a 7-year deal!

Random fact about your Club?

Here’s one for you… our manager at the time Barry Fry, urinated in all four corners of our pitch in the 90s in an attempt to remove a rumoured Gypsy course that had been placed on the club.

Which were your favourite and least favourite matches involving Birmingham City?

My favourite Birmingham City game is our 1995 Auto Windscreens Shield win over Carlisle which was decided by a golden-goal at the old Wembley. 55,000 Bluenoses were there. What a day!

My least favourite game was watching a dismal performance against West Brom in the Premier League following our League Cup win in 2011. I knew we were going down. Only the Blues could win the League Cup and get relegated in the same season. It was bizarre playing in Europe as a Championship club.

Which sides do you think will finish in the top six and the bottom four?

In no particular order, I think the top six will be: Birmingham, Stockport, Wrexham, Bolton, Blackpool, and Peterborough.

Bottom four: Shrewsbury, Cambridge, Burton, and Leyton Orient.

What are your thoughts on Lincoln City?

I think Lincoln are a very good league one side, organised and play with purpose. You know what you want to do with the football and you’re pretty consistent.

7th last season was a very solid finish and you’re building on that this season. The fact that you’re happy to have less possession than your opponents makes for a very interesting game against Birmingham City.

If you could steal one Lincoln City player for your team, who would it be and why?

Your captain O’conner looks like a great player, he chips in with goals too, a goal-scoring defender is useful in any side.

What is your prediction for this match?

I’m going to predict a 1-2 win for Birmingham. I think you’ll take an early lead but eventually while grind you down with our possession play.
