Lincoln City are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.
The performance by Harry Anderson in the four one victory over Crewe Alexandra at the weekend at the Alexandra Stadium was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.
I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Anderson was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.
‘An Anderson double helped Lincoln City come from a goal down to beat Crewe Alexandra 4-1 away from home, their biggest EFL victory on the road since March 2009. The winger’s two goals in the 50th and 67th minute turned the game on its head, with the Imps then going on to add a touch of gloss to the scoreline.’
It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Anderson for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.
