Lincoln City have finally confirmed that Barnet’s Simeon Akinola is the striker who is poised to join Danny Cowley’s side.
The Imps, who have been chasing the 25-year-old for much of the summer, are still awaiting EFL approval before being able to confirm if the deal went through in time to meet the summer transfer deadline.
The club have reported that the EFL have ‘written to both clubs to request supporting documentation be provided in order for a further review to take place’ and now have an anxious wait to see if the former Braintree ace will become their player or not.
