Lincoln City have snapped up midfielder Adifane Hamada Noussoura after a successful trial period at Sincil Bank. The teenager, a product of Didier Agathe’s football academy on Reunion Island in the middle of the Indian Ocean, has penned a deal that will see him stay with the Imps until the end of December.

The 18-year-old actually hails from the tiny island of Mayotte, an overseas collectively of France off the coast of Madagascar, where he played for UCS Sada, and he has also represented the national side, although they are not a member of FIFA or the AFC (Confederation of African Football).

He hooked up with City earlier in the summer, along with Reunion Islanders Ulric Samaria and Remy Lauret, while a fourth Islander Ali Djimali also spent some time with the club. Adifane has appeared in both reserve games this season – against Hartlepool and Grimsby – but will not be able to appear in the first-team squad until he receives international clearance.

Meanwhile, City outcasts Chris Fagan and Shane Clarke have had their contracts terminated today after both players agreed severance deals with the club.
