Ahead of Saturday’s match at home against Accrington Stanley in League One, I asked the Vital Lincoln City members what three things they think The Imps need to do to pick up all three points.

Here’s what tinnionsrightfoot said:

1. Get the pitch right. The two matches against Hull were played on a rubbishy pitch, and it noticeably affected our play. It’s always a bit heart-in-mouth when the full-backs are passing it between themselves anyway, without the ball sticking while they do so. At the other end, there were a lot of shots that end up in the stands because of the bobbly pitch.

2. Refresh the team a bit. It’s almost heresy to say so, but I thought we began to look a little bit tired on Tuesday. We’ve made a few signings, and maybe it’s time to use them. Give TJ and Tayo a bit of a break, and it looks like we may need to replace Bridcutt.

3. Get at them from the off. Accrington’s form has dropped a bit lately with only two wins in seven games. This season has shown that when we go ahead we win, so let’s start with pace and get an early goal. The stats show that we’re a really good second half side, but the flip side is that we’re sometimes less good in the first half.
