In the 1966/67 season I was living in London, as were a number of other Lincolnians.

We, together with a Bradford PA supporter hired a car to drive up to Lincoln to see the match at Sincil bank between the 2 teams.

Having driven up on the Friday night, we got to the social club that used to be under the stand at 11.00am in order to sample the local beer and play the fruit machine.

In those days you could buy a ticket for the stand behind the goal in the social club.

When the ticket seller came round he told us that Bradford were late so when we heard feet stamping above us we assumed that they had eventually come and the pitch, and 60 seconds later, on hearing further feet stamping on the wooden floor, that the match had kicked off.

After being in the social Club club for 4 hours we then went upstairs – only to find out that City were 2 up !!!!!!!!!!!. This lead to what I believe is the fastest hat-trick by a City player – do you know who it was without looking it up
