Before the game against Crawley Town we introduced a new feature to Vital Lincoln City. We asked our members “What 3 Things do we need to do to beat Crawley Town?”

After the game, we asked our members “What 3 Things did we learn from the 3-1 defeat against Crawley Town?”

Scotimp: “There could be a hundred answers, and it is probably a combination of a number of factors.”

1. I mentioned the danger coming from Boldewijn – from listening to the iFollow commentary, we never got close to him all afternoon. Where you have pace against you, you cannot give them space to run at you. Boldewijn plays down the right, suggesting our left side didn’t function.

2. Too many changes in personnel in too short a time, perhaps? The turnover of players since the opening day has been amazing. Only 5 of yesterday’s team played at Wycombe.

3. In reality, expecting a promotion challenge in our first season is a tall order. As Danny often says, we are playing catch-up compared to our rivals. Would promotion this season actually be a good thing anyway? Maintaining momentum probably depends on winning regularly: would we do that in League One so soon?

What 3 Things do we need to do to beat Crewe Alexandra?
