What can you say about Homespun Hone?

A local lad, yep. A chip off the old block, yep. A wise head on young shoulder, yep. There really are so many superlatives to shower at the feet of such a down to earth lad. His positioning and timing in the challenge saved our Lincolnshire bacon when we needed it last year. His appetitite and spirit for the game are top notch. Danny is one of our homegrown fountain of youth and it is a real pleasure to see such a fine young lad in the famous red and white.

Like Lewis, King, Pembo and of Course Lee Frecklington, Danny Hone is another of our youngsters who do us proud. From youth teamers to first teamers, they took the step and are now the future of the Imps in the present. Despite intense competition in the centre of defence, Danny will not be one to make up the numbers this year.

  • Lost his way a little after a fantastic start in an Imps shirt, but yet another jewel in a very large crown of good young Imps talent.

  • He will, he’s bound to lose form occasionally like any other footballer but, he has the world at his feet i believe.

  • I feel he will have fewer chances this season than he had last season. The defence looks stronger on paper at least than last season.
