Captain Cruncher Kerr – the bite in our midfield.

Tenacious in the tackle and a colossus last season, Scott Kerr is Peter Jackson`s on field influence. Whatever the ex Scarborough man lacks in finesse he more than makes up for in bloody mindedness with an in your face midfield attitude that is not out to make friends. He Freck and Oakes are poles apart.

Scotty Kerr proves that every midfield beauty needs its beast. That`s why he is even more popular than Father Christmas in the card stakes but we wouldn`t have him any other way.

  • if he stays suspension free he could give that midfield the balance it needs between attack and defence.

  • I agree about his suspensions problem. He is no use to us sat on the sidelines all season. He will be getting a name for himself and be on the refs hit list unless he gets his temper sorted. I dont mind him being agressive, as long as he doesnt go over the top, with his tackles or his anger.

  • as time has gone i’ve started to like kerr. i like a player who gets stuck in and is clipping at a players heels. i also agree about the suspensions..hopefully jacko can distract the ref when kerr is flying in.

  • I think he’s an important player. Obviously he doesn’t have the natural talent of a Freck or an Oakes but every team needs someone in midfield to do that dirty work and he does it well in my opinion. Agree he has to watch the number of suspensions he gets though. Anyone playing his role will pick up bookings but he shouldn’t be getting himself sent off.
